This is great! I'm probably doing a PhD in Glasgow next year. This definitely helps!
Bloody hell u eat a lot of fruit lol
Used to work there in 1977 for Thomas Murphy. Cycled to and from there from the South side of Glasgow. Fit as a fiddle and loved the fact that I started at 5am and finished at 1pm.
Good to know about this, but we don't have a car. Any idea on where to get organic fruit and vegetables with delivery in bulk in Glasgow?
Very nice video mate. I've started to eat only organic fruit and veg and was unsure about the set up in the fruit market so this has helped me a lot. I have recently became a vegan so getting fruit and veg in bulk like this is a must. Thank you very much Ronster Yer a life saver.
Do wish I had a car right now just for this reason – I'll be travelling with a box of bananas on the underground otherwise
Do you mind my asking how much you usually pay for a box of bananas from here?
That place looks like exactly what I've been looking for, man! Looks like a load of choice and great prices! Shall be having a visit there as soon as I can!!
You know I would love to live in a community farming area is anyopne else interested in builfing a community farm and being self sustainable it just makes sense
how can we not get together as a group and buy in bulk then share between us all please let me know if there is anyrthing like this
is this fruit market still open, if so do you know when? im in cumbernauld and im in desperate need of local fruit!
Hello!
I don't suppose you know of anywhere in Edinburgh to get fruit?
on a sunday it is mostly a car boot sale with a small fruit stand, for the real fruit market try to go mon to fri between 4am -8am, Saturday it will be open also but not as many stands will be open
@ronnieavoidsjunk Sure man thanks for the invite
good to hear it! feel free to join the fruitluck on meetupdotcomslash glasgow- fruitluck or the facebook page "fruitful scots", good luck with the high carb fruit based adventure
@ ronnieavoidsjunk Ahhh great stuff my friend I was wondering where to buy bananas by the case in Glasgow and you have shown the way. I too live in Glasgow and I am trying this diet not quite as much fruit as you buddy, as I am doing a couple of cooked vegan meals per day. I feel my fruit levels will increase over the summer IF the weather imroves so this will come in handy. Peace mate
Mate try these. I know a few people who have used them and have nothing but praise for them. Based in Bristol. Sunseed Organics.
This is ace!! I have tried to find a place near or in Bristol with no luck, must be one s'where :/
thanks weeyogini!!
geez-oh… love it 🙂
fruit freedom no less!
FREEEEEDOOOMMMMMM!!!! 😉
if you get to a wholesale market like this near you should have no problem getting a box of bananas for less than £10…i'm probably near £100 a week cos some of the organic stuff i get is double the price, could probably do it on £20 no problem but i like the variety
i cant speak for them all, lawl, but i caught most of what old mate was saying, accent's a bit harder to grasp than the scots living here thats for sure. its similar here, took some mates from the city out to the country and they could hardly catch what some folks were on about.
Is that a standard deal for you? £5 for 100+ nanas is excellent. £7 for 12 mangos is as well. I'm based just outside Birmingham, going to check out some markets this week to see what the deal is. How much do you spend a week on average?
aussie's understand the accent? cool!
haha
18.14kg of organic bananas for £5 at the fruit market, organic mangoes have to be ordered, i usually get some conventional, £7 for a box of 12 is cheapest for conventional i've seen, where you at?
Nice video. How much are the organic nanas and mangos up your way? Best I can find on nanas is 6 for £1 from Lidl (of all places)
Lol!
I feel like watching Braveheart now! x)
Not gonna lie, I didn't understand a word that banana guy said. Hahaha
or if your aussie
The accent is easier to understand when you're in Scotland 🙂
hahaha, yeh i should put a translation up 🙂 actually i dont think i caught everything he said til listening back
