  1. Wow! You guys managed to locate one of those old 'uncles' selling coconut or red bean paste ice-cream wrapped in a slice of soft white bread. I used to love eating this as a kid back in the early 70s. The coconut flavoured ice-cream is the best! Don't know what flavours they offer these days. You also ate THE original Laska (Janggut Laska)! Many visitors eat at 328 Laska which is also very well known in Singapore, but it's not the original one. You guys have really gone local with the food!! Well done guys! got to Lucky Plaza on a Sunday. That shopping mall gets very crowded with Filipino domestic workers on their day off – they go to church and many just hang out with their fellow Filipino friends chatting, window shopping and eating.
Hope you had fun in Singapore!

  2. thanks for the great vlog! 🙂 Popular local breakfast stores include Ya Kun Kaya Toast & Toast Box. they have many outlets around SG! Lucky Plaza is actually the foreign workers' hang out spot, hence why locals seldom visit 🙂 Next time u come to SG, do try out some local delicacies. Some from the Chinese cuisine: Hokkien Prawn noodles, Boon Tong Kee Chicken Rice, Satay Beehoon, Bak Chor Mee (minced pork noodles), Bak Kut Teh (pork bone soup)! Hawker Centres with a wide variety include East Coast Lagoon Food centre & Old Airport Road Food Centre 🙂

  3. I love how adventurous you both are with food. And when you ate the soft boiled eggs the Singaporean way…. you guys stole my heart. XXX.
