Keto Recipe – Very low Carb Sweet & Bitter Chicken

Chinese meals has been a weakness for me considering that I initial tasted it. Fried rice, sweet and bitter chicken, normal tso’s, chow mein. Almost everything I simply cannot have on a ketogenic diet. If you are lacking the fried rice, do not fret – you can make an accompanying Cauliflower Fried Rice!

By way of the yrs I have built up a resistance to Chinese food items, inevitably not getting cravings for it and not even thinking about it. The other day I was surfing the internet and observed a photograph of some tasty seeking sweet and sour hen. All of people recollections of Chinese food stuff flooded back again to my brain, producing me crave something that even resembled a piece of orange rooster.

Right after that, I saught out to re-build just one of my all time favorites: Sweet and Sour Chicken. But to make it lower carb? Effectively that is a obstacle, isn’t it. The judgement? It was a winner! Household and close friends relished it and in between 4 people, 5 1/2 pounds of rooster was eaten in 1 sitting.

  1. I never heard of rice vinegar, what other vinegar could be used? I have apple cider vinegar, white vinegar. Would they work? Also, could Coconut flour be used instead of Almond flour?

  2. Ok. I like this. A lot
I wonder if you could just make the sauce in the same pan frying pan. Scraping up the tasty burnt flavor bobms and incorperating the left over coconut oil from cooking.

  3. Low carb is a really toxic lifestyle. Its like smoking cigarettes. While smoking you get a small endorphin jolt but your also trashing your lungs and health. It takes a certain kind of willpower to undertake a low carb diet but you need to redirect that willpower to a whole food plant based diet. At first you may feel like its tasteless and you feel hungry quickly. But you will learn that with a whole food plant based diet you need to eat more. A whole food plant based diet is whole grains, potatoes, vegetables, some beans, some fruit.

  4. This is delicious, made in tonight, reduced the almond flour to 3-4 tbsp, you really have to play around with the breading. The sauce is amazing, I did reduce the swerve down to 1/3 cup as I was running out. I'm going to use the sauce on ribs too.

  5. This is not a low carb recipe. The sauce alone for 3 servings has over 20 grams of net carbs. Then you have to add the breading. The rice vinegar is the highest part. I’m new to Keto diet and I am so tired of searching recipes on YouTube and people saying low carbs and it really isn’t.

  6. I'll be trying this soon! Looks easy enough. I'll be subbing out the soy sauce and using organic coconut aminos for health reasons and I have no ketchup and won't be purchasing any for this recipe but I'll be using tomato sauce. Would you suggest just adding a little more sweetener and a tad more vinegar to the mix? What would you suggest?

  7. Nice. What are those ingredient cups and where can I get some? How much Stevia to use as a replacement for Erythritol? Erythritol upsets my stomach to much so can't use it.

  8. I bread mine like that and no matter what I do the breading always falls off I’ve tried several different ways and each time the breading never stays on it pisses me off
