  2. On the other hand, the publishing industry is probably one of the most environmentally unfriendly things on the planet. Electronic copies may not smell as nice, but they won't release anything like as many pollutants…

In colleges across the world the intro, "Candide never bored anybody except William Wordsworth" triggers murmered, 'bores me too' and a few 'I must be a freakin' genius Wordsmith' from English majors dreamin of pennin' the next Great American Novel. Candide is not relevant today which makes it more of a history of where we've been rather than really evoking any new thought as it did in its day. Trite.

  4. @pogopogopogo3 …..For me its not me totally rejecting E-Books, but Candides 2 hours plus! thats alot of memory use for the machine! i must listen to it in 15 minute bits!
