Maxwell Food items Centre: Well known Tian Tian Rooster Rice

Maxwell Foodstuff Centre is a hawker foods court docket right in the coronary heart of Singapore. Singapore food stuff tutorial:

There are a lot of hawker foods centers in Singapore, but one of the most effectively identified in the middle of the town is Maxwell Food stuff Centre, property to a range of legendary meals stalls, and a food items court that draws in both equally neighborhood Singaporeans and lots of vacationers. When I requested exactly where to take in Singapore hen rice in Singapore, a person of the several strategies was Tian Tian Hen Rice, the most nicely acknowledged stall at Maxwell, and probably a person of the busiest stalls in all of Singapore. The stall has been publicized by lots of tv set reveals and superstars.

Ying and I arrived to Maxwell fairly early, about 11 am, in an work to beat the main lunchtime hurry, and luckily for us we arrived so it was not too occupied. But Tian Tian hen rice even now had a line, with about 20 people in front of us. The good news is, the line did not consider prolonged and we purchased ½ a chicken and a plate of rice and introduced it back again to a table. In addition, I was also interested in hoping the fish bee hoon from a stall called Jing Hua Sliced Fish Bee Hoon, which oftentimes has an equally long line of hungry buyers.

Let us commence with the hen rice. The rice was quite sticky and fragrant with garlic and shallots. The rooster for me was a small on the delicate side, a minimal too smooth, and it was drenched in an oily gravy sauce. The chicken overall wasn’t my favorite… I imagine it was also tender and it lacked that very good rooster texture. The sauce, which bundled a combination of chilies, garlic, and ginger, was rather great – drinkable good. General, I like the rice and the sauce, but undoubtedly I attempted greater boiled Hainanese rooster I assume. A nicely recognised Singapore foods blogger, Dr. Leslie Tay ( done a survey about the most effective chicken rice in Singapore and Tian Tian Rooster Rice was the distinct winner, so it’s even now a most loved in Singapore, but it seems that absolutely everyone has their personal most loved in the town.

The fish bee hoon from Jing Hua Sliced Fish Bee Hoon I believed was rather excellent. It was plain and comforting, with a milky broth and fresh new slices of fish. It created a fantastic tasting, healthy, and light-weight dish to accompany my chicken rice. There are a ton much more dishes to test at Maxwell Food Centre as well, so it’s a terrific location to browse all-around and try to eat when you’re in Singapore.
